Four Principles of Craft

Every Pagani Puros Reserva is built on an unwavering commitment to four disciplines that define what luxury tobacco means to us.

Sourced

Tobacco leaves selected at peak harvest from six countries across three continents. Provenance is non-negotiable — we trace every leaf to the farm it came from.

Handcrafted

Rolled by master torcedores in Estelí, Nicaragua — artisans with decades of experience whose hands have shaped thousands of premium cigars each year.

Precision Blended

Every ratio of wrapper, binder, and filler is the result of years of prototype testing. Each expression went through multiple iterations before earning its name in the Reserva lineup.

Aged & Rested

Cedar-conditioned and rested to allow the three tobacco layers to marry. The result is a harmonious, balanced draw that evolves through every inch of the cigar.

The wrapper is not simply the exterior. It is the signature — it defines the entire character of everything beneath it. Choose it wrong and no amount of craftsmanship below can save you.

The Signature Leaf

Four Wrappers. Four Characters.

The wrapper leaf defines the personality of each Reserva expression. We selected four of the world’s most distinctive wrapper varieties — each one chosen to carry a different story.

Stage I

The Leaf

Every Pagani Puros Reserva begins with a sourcing journey. Our master blender travels to Peru, Ecuador, Nicaragua, and beyond to hand-select tobacco grown to our precise specifications. Only the top ten percent of any harvest is considered for the Reserva.

“We do not buy from catalogues. Every leaf is inspected, tested for combustion, and assessed for oil content before it enters our blending room.”

Stage II

The Roll

In our Estelí workshop, master torcedores apply decades of craft to each cigar. The binder is laid first — tightly and evenly — followed by the filler, then the wrapper applied with a precision that cannot be rushed. Each cigar takes up to 45 minutes to complete.

“A great roll is invisible. The only thing the smoker should feel is the draw — effortless, cool, and consistent from the first inch to the last.”

The Finish

After rolling, every cigar is rested in cedar-lined rooms for a minimum of six weeks. This aging period allows the wrapper, binder, and filler tobaccos to harmonize — eliminating harsh notes and developing the layered complexity that defines the Reserva Especial character.

“Patience is part of the recipe. Rush the rest and you lose the blend. The cedar room is where the cigar becomes what it was always meant to be.”
