PAGANI PUROS

Born from a vision of legacy, handcrafted by master torcedores in the volcanic valleys of Estelí, Nicaragua. Every cigar tells the story of a family, a philosophy, and an uncompromising pursuit of the extraordinary.

Reserva Especial

The Pagani name has been synonymous with a singular pursuit: the creation of cigars that transcend the ordinary. Not merely tobacco, but an expression of place, of craft, and of uncompromising vision.

The Beginning

Roots in Nicaragua

Our master blender’s pursuit of perfection led him to the volcanic highlands of Estelí, Nicaragua — where mineral-rich soil, mountain elevation, and generations of expertise cultivate tobaccos of extraordinary depth and complexity.

01

The Soil

Nicaragua’s volcanic terrain — enriched by ancient lava flows — produces tobacco leaves of exceptional oil content and density. The mineral profile of Estelí and Jalapa is irreplaceable.

02

The Tradition

Generations of tobacco knowledge guide every decision. From seed selection to fermentation, each process follows methods refined over decades of dedication to the craft.

03

The Vision

A collector-grade cigar demanded collector-grade standards. Pagani Puros was founded on one uncompromising principle: excellence in every aspect, from leaf to band.

The Selector’s Eye

From Field
to Cedar Room

Our master blender’s journey begins here — in the sunlit fields of Estelí, Nicaragua. Decades of expertise guide every selection, and only the finest leaves earn a place in Pagani Puros Reserva.

The finest cigars are not made — they are cultivated, from the first seed in Nicaraguan earth to the final, lingering draw.

The Standard

Every decision made in the production of Pagani Puros Reserva is guided by a single question: is this exceptional? Not good. Not excellent. Exceptional.

The Leaf

World-Class Tobacco

Every Pagani Puros Reserva draws from a triumvirate of exceptional tobacco regions — each contributing a distinct character that, together, creates a smoke of unrivalled complexity.

The Wrapper

Our signature Connecticut Shade or Broadleaf Maduro wrappers are sourced from carefully selected estates. Each leaf is handpicked at peak maturity, dried in traditional curing barns, and aged for a minimum of two years before use.

The Binder

Indonesian Besuki binder leaves provide the structural backbone of each blend. Known for their exceptional elasticity and combustion properties, these leaves impart subtle earthy undertones that deepen the complexity of every draw.

Jember Region  ·  Indonesia

The Filler

A complex ligero, seco, and volado blend drawn from Nicaragua’s volcanic Jalapa and Estelí valleys. These sun-grown leaves undergo a minimum three-year fermentation, developing a rich, full-bodied core that defines the Pagani Reserva character.

The Process

From Seed to Smoke

Producing a Pagani Puros Reserva is a multi-year journey of cultivation, selection, fermentation, and craft. No shortcuts. No compromises.

01

Seed Selection

Only heirloom seed varieties with proven lineage are used. Each cultivar is matched to its optimal growing region, soil chemistry, and altitude to express its fullest potential.

02

Cultivation & Harvest

Leaves are grown under shade cloth or in full sun depending on the blend, then harvested by hand over multiple passes as each priming reaches peak maturity.

03

Curing

Harvested leaves are hung in traditional curing barns for 45–60 days. Careful airflow management converts starches to sugars, developing the leaf’s fundamental character.

04

Fermentation

Leaves are piloned in large bulks and fermented over 18–36 months. Temperature is monitored daily and bulks are turned regularly, purging ammonia and developing sweetness and complexity.

05

Master Blending

Our master blender evaluates hundreds of leaf samples, constructing ligero-to-volado ratios that deliver the ideal balance of strength, combustion, and flavour arc across the cigar’s full length.

06

Hand Rolling

Each cigar is hand-rolled by a senior torcedor with a minimum of a decade of experience. A perfect draw, an even burn, and consistent density are verified at every rolling table before the cigar passes inspection.

07

Aging in Cedar

Finished cigars rest in Spanish cedar-lined aging rooms for a minimum of 90 days, allowing the tobaccos to marry and the draw to settle before the bands are applied.

08

Quality Control

Every cigar is draw-tested, weight-checked, and visually inspected before banding. Any cigar that does not meet the Pagani Reserva standard is rejected — regardless of yield targets.

Every Pagani Puros Reserva is backed by uncompromising benchmarks that define what it means to carry the Reserva designation.
